Monica R Ward
I'm a first generation academic, with a Ph.D. in American History, specializing in Native American and Early American History. I attended Rutgers University for my undergraduate and masters degree, both of which were in History. I earned my doctoral degree in American History in 2019 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Prior to Bryant, I served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of History at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.
At 91°µÍø½ûÇø, I work and teach Early U.S. History, the American Revolution, Indigenous History, Enslavement in the U.S. and the Atlantic World, as well as Public History. My most recent public history engagements have been working with Operation Stand Down, Veteran outreach, the Tomaquag Museum, and the Narragansett Tribal Nation. I serve as the Faculty Advisor for Bryant Student Veterans and Allies for Excellent on campus at 91°µÍø½ûÇø.
Outside of academia, I participation in equestrian sports, love horses, dogs, and being outside.
